Yanile Velarde Gallegos is a Peruvian social scientist with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a specialization from the Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales (CLACSO) in care policies from a gender perspective. Her academic and professional trajectory has focused on qualitative research, with experience analyzing social dynamics related to care, gender, and environmental governance.
Her work applies gender, intercultural, and intersectional approaches to research and capacity-building processes, particularly with women and vulnerable communities. She has contributed to research projects, policy analysis, and the development of methodological tools that connect evidence-based research with public policy design.
Her interests lie at the intersection of care, gender, and social policy, with a focus on how research can inform more inclusive, context-sensitive, and transformative policy frameworks.
