Telila Berhanu Amenu

Research Analyst

Telila Berhanu Amenu is a fifth-year law student at Addis Ababa University. He volunteers as a Research Analyst at the Human Rights Research Center, where he engages in legal research. His academic interests are centered on examining structural and institutional barriers to justice and their implications for rights protection.

 

Deeply committed to both legal scholarship and practical impact, Telila combines his academic focus with an openness to explore multiple disciplines to broaden his understanding of how different fields intersect with law and society.

 

Telila has gained practical legal experience through internships at Menberetsehai and Associates Law Office and Metassebia Law Group Law Firm. During his time at Metassebia Law Group, he also served as a Young Lawyers Initiative (YLI) Fellow and authored two published legal pieces. Earlier in his legal journey, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club, reflecting a sustained commitment to community engagement and public service.

Outside his formal studies, Telila is known for his approachable nature and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life, which he believes is essential to legal practice. Looking forward, he aspires to pursue advanced studies abroad and contribute to Ethiopia’s evolving legal and educational landscape.
