Sabrina Ochoa, JD

Sabrina Ochoa is a human rights lawyer and advocate, admitted to practice law in the State of New York. She earned her B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, with a minor in East Asian Studies, and earned her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2024. After graduating, she was a Henigson Human Rights Fellow with the Center for International Law (CenterLaw) Philippines, advocating on behalf of survivors of the "comfort women" system and other survivors of human rights violations. She is currently conducting a fellowship with the Institute for Current World Affairs, covering the International Criminal Court investigation of crimes against humanity in the Philippines, with a focus on survivors of atrocity crimes and their communities.
Her research interests include accountability mechanisms for State violence, transitional justice, health and human rights, and reproductive justice. She has extensive experience working with non-governmental organizations across the world on a variety of human rights advocacy issues before national, regional, and intergovernmental bodies. She also volunteers with the United Nations, conducting research related to public and private implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Outside of her research and advocacy work, Sabrina runs a book club, practices yoga, and is usually somewhere listening to live music. Based in Manila, she calls South Florida home.
