Maya is a recent graduate of Macalester College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minored in Russian Studies and Media Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at Generation Human Rights, the Office of Governor Tim Walz & Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan, and Foyle Women’s Information Network. Currently, she works in immigration law. Her research interests include women’s rights, migration, and armed conflict.
