Suriya Ragu

A recent graduate of Western University with a Bachelor's in Medical Sciences, specializing in One Health and Pathology. She has dedicated her undergraduate research to unraveling the intricate ways that social determinants shape health outcomes across diverse populations. Her research has particularly addressed areas such as Indigenous health, female reproductive rights, veterans' health and the effects of socioeconomic factors on mental health. These interests have shaped her goal to advocate for targeted public health policies that address these critical issues. 

 

Dedicated to integrating her broad academic background into her medical practice, she is committed to becoming a physician who provides comprehensive and culturally competent care. She aims to contribute to healthcare reform that improves access and outcomes for underrepresented communities.
