Raisa Hamlin is an undergraduate student at American University studying International Relations at the School of International Service. Growing up in Central Asia sparked her interest in human rights and the relationship between political and social systems. Her academic work explores issues surrounding ethnic conflict, women's rights, racial and cultural identity, and barriers to education and opportunity.
