Myfanwy Sequeira, LLM
Legal Research Analyst

Myfanwy is a graduate of Utrecht University, where she earned a Master’s in Public
International Law specializing in conflict and security. Her thesis analysed the obligation of the international community, i.e. States and international organisations, towards the women of Yazidi community that was subjected to sexual violence by ISIS, offering critical insights into accountability and international justice.
Myfanwy has worked on systemic legal reform, advocacy for vulnerable communities, and complex legal issues at the intersection of Criminal and Human Rights Law for over 4 years. Her work reflects a deep commitment to justice and equity, particularly in protecting the rights of marginalized individuals.
She previously completed her LLB at the University of Cumbria, where she was honoured with the "Weightmans Law Student of the Year" award. During her studies, she conducted empirical youth research with the Cumbria Youth Commission of Police and Crime, exploring youth engagement with the criminal justice system and presenting policy recommendations to key stakeholders.
Myfanwy is dedicated to advancing access to justice and aims to contribute meaningfully to the fields of Human Rights Law, Criminal Law, and Public Law, focusing on creating equitable legal frameworks that protect the most vulnerable.
