Margaret Njeri Waithiegeni is a feminist policy advocate, youth governance leader, and human rights defender advancing gender justice, safety, and accountable governance in Kenya and across global policy spaces. Her work bridges grassroots realities with institutional reform, ensuring that women and young people meaningfully influence decisions that shape their lives.

 

She is the Founder and Executive Director of Her Dignity, Her Pride Initiative, where she leads survivor-centered interventions addressing gender-based violence, FGM, girls' education, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Margaret has shaped policy and accountability processes at county, national, and international levels, contributing to youth inclusion frameworks, open government reforms, and multilateral dialogues including ICPD, CPD, second world summit on social development and global governance platforms.

 

Her expertise spans gender-responsive governance, digital safety, tax justice, youth participation, and ethical AI. Across her work, she centers dignity, safety, and feminist accountability while translating complex research and policy into accessible narratives that strengthen civic engagement and institutional transparency.
