Madi Carpenter is a Washington, D.C.-based researcher and nonprofit professional committed to advancing the rights and well-being of displaced populations. She currently serves as Operations Coordinator at a nonprofit organization supporting asylum seekers and refugees.

 

Her research focuses on forced migration, migration pathways, and border governance, with a particular interest in how legal frameworks and policy narratives shape the lived experiences of migrants. Madi is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice in the fields of international development and displacement. She brings a cross-disciplinary perspective grounded in direct service, fieldwork, and research engagement.
