Lena Abara is currently a master’s candidate at American University in Washington, D.C. She is studying International Relations with a concentration in Global Governance, Peace, and Security. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, where she doubled majored in Justice & Peace and French language studies. She also received a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies and has a passion for advancing women’s rights around the world.

Lena has a passion for topics such as conflict resolution, peace methods, and international policy. Outside of work, she loves playing the guitar, listening to alternative rock music, and traveling.
