Raised in Madrid, Spain, Erina Bazán López is a motivated scholar with a dual bachelor’s degree in Law and International Relations from IE University, where she focused her coursework on International Humanitarian Law (IHL), peacebuilding, and conflict resolution. During her studies, she honed her analytical and legal writing skills through advanced courses like International Humanitarian Law: Relevance in Contemporary Challenges & Armed Conflict and Peace & Conflict Resolution, achieving top marks in these fields. Committed to bridging academic theory with practical advocacy, Erina actively participated in IEU’s Debate Club and Model United Nations.
Erina’s passion for human rights extends beyond the classroom. As a volunteer with Apoyo a niños hospitalizados at San Rafael Hospital in Madrid, she engaged with pediatric patients in intensive care, fostering hope and improving outcomes through empathetic interaction—a role that deepened her understanding of the human dimension of systemic challenges.
