Devin Windelspecht is a freelance journalist writing about democracy, human rights, and press freedom. He was the former Managing Editor of IJNet, a project of the International Center for Journalists, where among other roles he guided journalists on how to cover conflicts and crises by leading the Crisis Reporting Forum.

Devin is a graduate of Northeastern University and SOAS University of London, where he studied Conflict, Rights and Justice. As a student, he reported in Bosnia with the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project and engaged in community reconciliation in Northern Ireland with the Corrymeela Community. Today, he's passionate about finding ways to combine journalism with human rights, post-conflict reconciliation, and peace efforts.
