Aahana Nagwekar is a junior at Notre Dame San Jose High School, with the intention of pursuing political science in her undergraduate years, planning to ultimately pursue law. As a daughter to immigrants, she is extremely passionate about migration policy, specifically exploring the invisible barriers that affect immigrants as well as the impact of a lack of political literacy. Due to this, Aahana has volunteered with multiple organizations to bring awareness and aid migrant communities, as well as founding her very own organization to bridge the policy education gap.
As a debater, researcher, and advocate, Aahana is extremely passionate about voicing her opinion and specifically exploring how to dismantle and combat the extreme political polarization that has deeply affected societies across the globe. Outside of this, Aahana enjoys dancing, listening to podcasts, traveling, and ceramics.
