Deanna Wilken, MA

Co-Founder & Board President

Deanna Wilken is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Sociology and has an M.A. in International Relations from the University of Nottingham. With over 15 years’ experience in leadership, operations, program management, research, communications, and development, Deanna has utilized her expertise to lead organizations and staff from diverse backgrounds. Her research interests surround global human trafficking, refugees and forced migration, genocide, climate change, and mental health. Currently, Deanna works for USAID in the Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean. She also runs the day-to-day operations of Human Rights Research Center and serves as the Mid-Atlantic Representative on Amnesty International USA's Nominating Committee.
