Pronouns: He/Him/His
Yair Guijosa-Torres is an undergraduate student at Yale University studying History of Latin America with a certificate in Human Rights. Aside from his studies of immigrant scholarship at the Human Rights Research Center, Yair is involved in Mecha, a pan-latine activist organization at Yale, working together with the local community to demand justice for the mistreatment of Latine immigrant workers.
Yair is interested in the Latine immigrant experience in the United States and how social, legal, and political systems impact undocumented immigrant mobility. Through the Human Rights Research Center, he hopes to sharpen his research skills, learn about pathways/opportunities/structures that can help the immigrant community, and disseminate knowledge for change that is accessible for the public.
