Joyce Bun

Joyce is an English Literature major hoping to double major with a focus in British imperial history at Florida State University. More specifically, how British imperial and colonialist policies and legislation influenced the United States’ early development of constitutional laws. In addition, Joyce hopes to address the suppression of multilingualism within academic institutions and try to raise awareness in promoting non-native english speakers to use their native languages within the US culture. 

 

Joyce plans to pursue a Juris Doctorate outside Florida State University and later, become an advocate and attorney for immigrants, asylum-seekers, and refugees. She would like to seek more opportunities to expand their rights in the US and to provide more network opportunities, resources, and support to them.
