Snigdha Behara, MA
Research Analyst
Pronouns: She/Her
Snigdha Behara is a researcher with a Master's in Human Computer Interaction from the State University of New York. Growing up in India, she developed an early attunement to the struggles of underserved communities, and going any other route never quite made sense to her. Her own experiences with stigma drew her to mental health advocacy, and eventually to human-centered design as a way of doing something concrete by listening to what people are actually going through, bringing those experiences to light, and building toward solutions that fit them.
She has worked across domains such as civic tech and healthcare, and plans to expand her work across the Sustainable Development Goals in the Global South. Snigdha's STEM background feeds a parallel curiosity in AI ethics and how humans experience and redefine themselves in an increasingly tech-dominated world. Her research ethos is grounded in an ethical, inclusive, and impact-driven approach.
When she's not thinking about the state of the world, she's into weird history trivia, being in nature, and good Indian food.
