Fahad Mirza received his Masters of Arts in US Foreign Policy and National Security from American University’s School of International Service. His research focused on terrorism and political violence with his capstone project looking at foreign state propaganda and disinformation in the 2020 US elections.
He went on to work with the Department of Homeland Security and the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency to combat foreign influence operations and disinformation. In that role, he and his team worked to help the public understand and build resilience to mis, dis, and malinformation.
Fahad is currently a freelance author with his research interests including disinformation, extremism, political violence, and the intelligence community.
