Kaitlyn Andres is a public health researcher passionate about identifying and overcoming barriers to health equity through a combination of mixed-methods research and evidence-based policy. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Thomas Jefferson University and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Science from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In the past, she has worked in the areas of vaccine research, housing insecurity, and disability justice, all topics that have furthered her passion in advocating for human rights. Kaitlyn currently works as a Research Associate with the Center for Pet Family Well-Being at the University of Tennessee where her research takes a One Health approach to understanding the role pets play in their families' lives and how we can transform systems to meet the changing needs of diverse families
