Cassandra Saunders

Research Analyst

Cassandra (she/her/hers) is a third-year senior at the University of Georgia studying International Affairs and Human Rights. She studied abroad at the University of Sussex and concentrated in International Development. In her roles as a researcher for the GLOBIS Human Rights Lab at UGA and a Community Engagement Intern at the International Rescue Committee, she is well-versed in human rights research and data collection. 

 

Her areas of interest include gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and refugee rights and she hopes to work in one of these areas following her graduation in May 2024. Her current research for HRRC focuses on creating blog articles about girls' education and gender apartheid, specifically in the context of Afghanistan.
